This beautifully shot and heartfelt film tells the tales of two scientists thousands of miles apart who have taken on the task of rescuing animals – orangutans and elephants – raising them and then returning them to the wild. A must-see for kids, and good-hearted adults for that matter.
What qualifications do you need to work in a wildlife sanctuary?
I do not want to be a zoo keeper. I work in a wildlife sanctuary. I work with large animals such as cats and monkeys, I have to do in the collage to work in a sanctuary. Web links would be much appreciated one, possibly a list of collages that provide degrees.
Zoology was one of the best titles for a wildlife sanctuary. Usually offered in almost all universities. I'm sure there are others who would be good for this kind of work too, but this is what popped into my head. I'm studying zoology from now. To any degree that would be good for a wildlife sanctuary they need, in general, two semesters of chemistry, 1-2 semesters organic chemistry, 2 semesters biodiversity, 1-2 semesters of English Comp., mathematics through calculus, physics, statistics. You also more than likely need have cellular, invertebrate and vertebrate biology, genetics and biochemistry. I'd recommend planning for at least a master and wait for volunteer or intern in the sanctuary for at least a year before they are hired and paid in cash. Your best bet is to go talk to your councilor. Must have a huge book of colleges and you should be able to tell them what they would like to study. The book should list the schools by rank as well.
