Hey guys, you know where to find things that live in one place than anywhere else in the world? In a tropical forest!

The forests are exactly what its name implies: warm forests, which are very dense jungles wet.Tropical Ecuador are close to the Earth and are home to millions of plants and animals. In school science, we can learn the four layers of the forest.

Towering above all other parts of the forest are emerging: giant trees higher than any other in the forest towering over its neighbors. Emerging are home to many birds and insects.

The flag leaf is the rain forest, formed by the treetops. The canopy grows so thick and close together that the rain that falls on it can take 10 minutes get down! Many plants and amazing animals found there, including lazy. Sloths have long fingers that used to hang upside down from branches, but spend most of his life upside down, and eat, sleep, and even giving birth in reverse! Sloths are also famous for being the slowest animal on earth. They are so slow that algae growing on your skin and turns green!

Under the canopy, but above ground is the understory of the rainforest. It consists mainly in the trunks of trees and vines and other plant life that grows over them. Many flowers grow in the understory, and thousands of birds and butterflies find their food there.

Finally, we reached the bottom of the forest: the forest floor. It is home to millions of insects, and some of the largest animals in the jungle tropical live there.

School science tells us it is important to preserve the forest because of all the plants and animals that live there, but one of the most interesting facts about tropical rain forests is that trees also provide most of the air we breathe! Tropical forests are also important because the cure of many diseases have been found in plants that grow there.

Here are some interesting facts about tropical forests:

The Congo rainforest in Africa has its own unicorn! Okapi is an animal related deerlike giraffes, legs striped like a zebra. They have two horns on his head, but if you look at an okapi from the right angle, the two horns look like one. This earned them the nickname "African unicorns."

And the coolest thing about the tropical forests is there are so many plants and animals which have not yet discovered all! Maybe you can visit a forest and discover a new species a day.
