It has dramatically increased the survival rate for acute childhood leukemia since its discovery. deforestation brings with it many ugly consequences-air and water pollution, soil erosion, malaria epidemics, the release of carbon dioxide atmosphere, the eviction and destruction of indigenous Indian tribes, and loss of biodiversity through extinction of plants and animals. Less forest means less rain, less oxygen for us to breathe, and a growing threat of global warming.
