Middle Northwest Hiking Tour
Itinerary Detail
Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (B, L)
Breakfast, transfer to Mai Chau, on the road, hike a few miles across ethnic people (Muong and Thai). Lunch in Mai Chau. Overnight in the traditional town of Lago.
Approx: 4 hours of driving / 3 hours walking / 1 hour lunch
Day 2: Mai Chau – Suoi Lon (B / L / D)
Transfer of 17 km and then walk into an area of ethnic minority people in Thailand, Muong people of Cun Feo and Hang Kia. reach Sang Bai dock for the cruise on the Black River local boat. Arrival at Suoi Lon overnight in Muong village.
Approx: 0.5 hours of driving / 3 hours hiking / Boat trip 3 hours / 1 hour lunch
Day 3: Suoi Lon – Bac Yen – Thu Cuc (B / L / D)
Transfer to Ta Sua plateau, can see the landscape of the highlands of it. Visit some villages of the Black H'mong ethnic and discover the daily life and customs of the locals here especially you can enjoy local specialties: Ta Sua tea and agricultural products, then return to the mountain village for lunch. After lunch, visit the local market, handicrafts and agriculture for many ethnic groups are available here. Day 4: Thu Cuc – Nghia Lo (D, A, D)

Day 10: Ta Trung Ho – Nam Toong – Ban Ho – Sapa – Lao Cai (B, L)
You are now on the fringe of the forest for the range of Hoang Lien Son Mountains. Fansipan, the highest peak of Red Dao Indochinavillage with its 3,143 m, is in this range. You will start the day hike, ascending to Nam Toong minority. Here the food is prepared at a local school.
In the afternoon, before descending to Ban Ho, you can stop by a waterfall to cool. In the last hours you can enjoy the valley, while a final time of trekking to your Pan where the car takes you on the journey back to Sapa befor transfer to Lao Cai for night train back to Hanoi. End of service.
