We packed shorts and cloth, called Petra Jaya bus 6, Kuching, Sarawak, in the city by the sea tiny Bako Bazaar, the plan was to catch a boat to Bako National Park. It is a 20 minute boat ride to the park very quiet which is surprisingly close to Kuching, but leaves you a feeling of being far away from any form of civilization.

We landed in a small water taxi on a beautiful white sand beach where you got on the ground, hey – this is certainly what our colonial ancestors billowing dresses done in time with babies on their hips. Walk from the beach are the headquarters of the Park, a small restaurant and a shop selling a few canned foods and dry, and had some tasty dishes in just sitting under the lights of a bath. Be wary of food that has sat in the heat we opted to buy several canned fish, sardines, beef and noodles in many brands and flavors.

Bako National Park is famous for its variety of wildlife, tropical forests, four different species pitcher plants, hiking trails, the rare proboscis monkey and macaque monkeys ultra friendly, but more abundant, these guys were friendly cheeky are entrepreneurs discover with a capital E.

We stayed few days in small huts were very basic and clean and had great visual warnings to close doors and windows to keep the monkeys out.
So we went to explore, trails to follow and find wildlife. Wonderful monkeys swinging in the lush rainforest to feed babies on their backs and stained the rare proboscis monkey, also magnificent bird life and best of all fantastic.

Our route took us high into the jungle and finally coming to an impressive white sand beach as the sun was setting, so not a human being to view stripped and plunged into the warm South China Sea.

Wandering back to our humble abode was found a scene of devastation that the thieves had been systematically emptied our backpacks and contents strewn on the floor. I swear to God that someone had been after of our money and credit cards. The monkeys could not use credit cards or machines ATM access – however – the food was canned gone! Cans of tuna, bully beef, sardines, just disappeared – spotting the open window, he realized that the monkeys had estimated bright open the window not 100% safe and went shopping – Yum!

Not a bite left, so we marched off in the woods ready to claim our property back yes – our environment thieves were high in the trees make fun of us, we did find some of the loot, of course, fell from the top of the trees when they discovered simply did not own a can opener. We were told later, they are experts with cans of locking fingers are made for the monkeys.

Gone are the days monkeys eat bananas hanging from one tree to another, do not sit on a branch tearing open can lids, eating non-organic protein reconstituted and put the can not biodegradable on the forest floor to rust slowly. After retrieving a few dented cans have also got a meal that night.

No monkey business after that, we made doors and windows were secured. You have to be vigilant when taking pictures of them, and invite him to approach, then rapidly will take the camera out of his hands. We had the feeling that "we" were photographed while walking around!
