Although surrounded by very dry hills, irrigation enables lush gardens flowering throughout the year and usually is sunny and pleasant temperatures. The valley is 50 km north of Lima and is regarded as the gateway to the central Andes. The valley is home to many species of birds including endemic varieties, and the area is a highlight for bird-watching excursions.
Our Lodge consists of about a dozen cottages with kitchen (so we can make our own teas and coffees, etc.) located in beautiful gardens where you can conduct our meetings and ceremonies. The food is good and largely vegetarian. There are also excursions to visit the local caves, and ruins.

Doris Rivera Lenz
Doris has lived in Cusco for many years performing and reading offerings of coca leaves for dozens of people every week – both local and remote locations. He has worked with many of our Eagles Wing groups on Peru trip so far.
The coca leaf has been sacred to Andean people since the dawn of pre-Columbian civilization. When Asked about the source of the information they theologians, says:
"They give me a powerful awareness it is as though an energy comes into me just touching. I invoke Mother Nature and the spirit of the coca, and with only seven pages, the answer comes, as if through an open door. "
Healing diagnosis
An ancient method of diagnosing the disease remains common in Peru, is to rub an egg over the body the patient. Doris is gifted in this tradition and will prescribe remedies which include medicinal herbs.

No speech and debate ideas as Pachacuti (the Andean concept of time), the Andean myths, and healing methods, also practical healing and divination sessions the opportunity of private meetings with Doris.
JUAN NAVARRO
We will work again with maestro Juan Navarro to comply with the spirit San Pedro, a gentle and powerful healing medicine, which was of vital importance to early pre-Columbian civilizations, such as the Chavin, 800 BC, and the Mochica, 500AD. For these key persons cactus itself was considered the Achuma God.
Juan Navarro was born in the mountain village of Somatic, department of Piura. He is a descendant from a long line of healers and shamans working with the magical powers of the Huaringas. These lakes are sacred to 3,500 meters and has been revered since the earliest Peruvian civilization.
During the overnight session John works tirelessly with her two children in a complex sequence of processes, including invocation, diagnosis, divination and healing with natural objects, or crafts. The arts are initially placed on the altar of the teacher or board, and an amazing and beautiful shells, swords, magnets, crystals, objects resembling sexual organs, rocks which spark when struck, and the stones from the stomachs of animals that have swallowed to aid digestion!
The Amazon – Ayahuasca, Plant Spirit Shamanism, and Yoga Retreat
Our hostel is located in the river that forms part of a reserve of 58,070 hectares of nature. Due to a combination of geological factors and diverse soil types, the reservation is compatible with a unique community of species of plants and animals. Is the 'jewel' of the crown of bird watchers and contains dozens of species that are unique to this area. The reserve contains a the highest known biodiversity in the Amazon basin. The Lodge is located on the Nanay River is a tributary of the Amazon River. Our hostel is in the range two curves of the river, an incredible panoramic view. We have our own boat for trips can make some extremely interesting and beautiful places to along the River.
The hostel is a 2 hour river journey from Iquitos by power boat. We have the dedicated services of maestro shaman Artidoro Aro Cardenas. Included in the program are individual personal healing or consultative sessions based on your personal needs shamans. The teacher will also provide experiential teachings about the fascinating medicinal and psycho-spiritual development of local plants. Participants can choose their plant medicine which will be fresh for them. Our accommodation is in comfortable traditional cabins or inns (cabins diet), a leaf roof supported by poles and with open sides (the most intimate way to sleep in forest). The beds benefit from the networks of a comfortable mattress and fly when necessary. The drums are spread out to ensure privacy and minimal disturbance to others.
Participants have the option of using either the cabins in the annex to the "Casa Grande" or drums for his retirement. During the day when There are no activities, there will be hammocks to relax, and can read, or walk in the woods, or swim in the river (there is a small sandy beach). Our ceremonies and meetings will be held in the Casa Grande with an open platform on stilts on the banks of the river with a magnificent view of the jungle and the sky full of stars. or our longhouse (Temple ceremonial), a large circular tambo made of natural materials and form of a matrix. We will eat our meals in the lodge, the traditional meeting place, where food is cooked in a wood fire.
Single Accommodation One of the unique features of this program is to offer unique accommodation throughout, both in hotels Lima, Iquitos, and in our center in Mishana. This ensures that participants can obtain the maximum benefit from their encounter with the plants. The Diet really needs to be taken in solitude and personal retreat without distractions. This is an essential feature of this program. Normally other programs do not offer this and dormitory and shared hosting is usually the rule. Our Drums (individual accommodation huts) are all different and spread, some with greater isolation from others and we also have rooms individual accommodation in the wing of our Casa Grande for those who prefer to be near the main facilities.
There are pictures on the web or I can send photos on request. Our intention in this journey is to provide conditions and guidance for participants to follow a proper diet, and to be as close as possible about what indigenous peoples have for thousands of years (although they can avoid unnecessary inconvenience in any case a diet is not an endurance test.) The diet is a journey of self-exploration and the maestro is there to give support, it is important that the shaman is an evolved and impeccable person, who will lead us to learn for ourselves and benefit from our experiences in safety.
Participants undertake a "diet" to plant a total of six to eight days, selecting their plant from a number of options that can be explained by the maestro and depend on individual needs. Some plants are good for specific ailments such as Chuchahuasi for arthritis and other bone conditions, although there is always a magical world that offers the spirit of the plant. Other plants have specific spiritual benefits. Chirisanango and Ushpahuasanango, for example, open the heart and emotional healing. Guayusa works very curiously on their dreams, offering a Although experience of being conscious, in fact, sleeping or dreaming.
The plants used will all be compatible with the ayahuasca to benefit from the diet plant in ayahuasca ceremonies. There will be a program of lectures, exercises, individual sessions and group meetings without prejudicing the spirit of the diet. This is a way to learn from observation and intimate contact with nature, practical artistic exercises using local materials. We will participate in the gathering and preparation of Ayahuasca, a prolonged ritual in invoking the power of the master plan. We will learn about healing plants and how to find them.
