Five things to do in Port Douglas
We all know that the Port Douglas tropical paradise on the north coast of Queensland. It meets the Great Barrier coral on one side, and the Daintree Rainforest, on the other, and so is the only place on earth in easy access of the two World Heritage sites.

Discovery unexpected may cause you to miss many wonderful treats in the region. It is always useful to know what are the most important places to be visited, you can leave the area knowing that you hear it later, "You should have visited …."
This list tries to help the humble potential tourists by guiding them on MUST SEA. We will try to list only sites that have taken a number of consensus on their meaning. To avoid controversy, and allow for personal choices, they are not listed in order of importance.
You may decide that you want to see first, and when you want to visit – just make sure you do!
- Great Barrier Reef
All you need than going out your door, technically, to visit the Great Barrier Reef, because you're almost upon it. As Port Douglas is located in the dive center and snorkeling adventure, the options are endless. With a short boat or helicopter, although short, there are dozens of views that you can choose.Whether you like to travel on a high-speed catamaran or a large luxury yacht, if you are already a snorkeling or diving qualified, there are a myriad of options to get to the underwater wonders.
- Daintree Rainforest
He is one of the oldest living spaces. It is also one of the most versatile with an incredible range of flora and fauna. It houses the history of the aboriginal tribes that live on many today and the stories there to remind us of the close harmony with nature in this part if the world is wonderful. It has cultural and historical artifacts, forests exciting and gardens, wild mountains and rainforest rivers and hot springs. It has enchanting beaches and tropical forest canopies with leaves appearing in the head size of houses. The air is cooler than seems possible, and surrounding areas are hidden and almost intact save for the small roads to transport the lucky few in it.
- Kuranda
The "Village in the Rainforest", this small town lovely, just north of Cairns attracts people with a call of its own. This city is the heritage of the small terminal for the Kuranda Scenic Railway Kuranda SkyRail as well. Own history, wildlife and small town atmosphere and rides it a must for a day trip.
- Mossman
Just outside Port Douglas, the "sugar" city is the industrial center of the region still enchanting. Mossman Central Mill's famous is a activity center that will take you to a world vintage. The heating season cane attracts hordes of photographers for the wonderful spectacle of the flames Yellow reaching into the sky from the green fields. The proximity of Karnak Playhouse in Whyanbeel beautiful secluded valley, Mossman Gorge and the enchanting through which flows the Virgin River Mossman, make a heady concoction for a day.
- Beaches
Perhaps why you are there first. The clear waters of the Coral Sea are a temptation for young and old. Port Douglas is renowned for some of the cleanest beaches the world. With barbecues and rescuers, the beaches of Port Douglas are fun and safe, with Four Mile Beach offers tropical getaway enjoyable. Other secluded beaches in the region are all within half an hour by car. Be aware that during the green season (approximately November to May), tropical waters provide the perfect breeding ground for jellyfish box and the deadly Irukandji (something that looks like a sea wasp) where you will see net pens on all the beaches of the North Shore. Meanwhile Many people enjoy a picnic on the sand and return to swim in a pool of many remedies available (check with your re hosting. availability of the pool for those months).
